2020 has certainly been a challenging year for accounting firms and businesses following the drought and bushfires in Australia and COVID-19 to top it all off! Despite these challenges, Addison Partners is excited to announce a trifecta of awards and news.
Awarded in The Australian Financial Review Top 100 Accounting Firms list for 3 years in a row
On Wednesday 25 November 2020, we are excited to announce that we were listed as one of the Top 100 Accounting Firms in Australia by The Australian Financial Review (AFR).
The AFR release the list in November each year with the results based on revenue, diversity within our team, service offerings, technology use, team skills and completion of pro bono work.
This is the third consecutive year that Addison Partners has been part of the Top 100 and this year we reached their highest ever ranking of 86th. We were also proud to receive a special mention for having the 4th highest percentage of female partners in their firm when compared to all other firms on the list.
"Like all of you, 2020 has presented our team with challenges both professionally and personally. We would like to thank our team for all their efforts and hard work during 2020 to keep us in the Top 100. And in particular, the effort they have gone to in navigating the ever-changing rules around programs such as Job Keeper to ensure our clients are best positioned to weather the pandemic crisis," said Mark Peper, Director of Addison Partners.

New office in Taylors Beach
We have proudly supported businesses in the Port Stephens region for close to 10 years and to further cement our commitment to the region, we have recently purchased and opened a new office at 1/7 Sky Close in Taylors Beach.
We recognise that the Taylors Beach area will very soon be the heart of the Port Stephens business community and we felt that it was vital that we were located in this growing area.
Our new office is located directly across the road from Harvey Norman’s planned $25.8 million industrial and commercial development.
Our new office space has significant room for us to grow, with great facilities including a large board room, meeting rooms and plenty of parking for our clients. In short, we are here to stay!
Addison Partners was established in 1946, when Theo Watts established an accounting practice in Dungog in the Hunter Valley Region of NSW. Theo built up a successful practice based on listening to his clients, providing expert advice and installing in his staff the values of respect and quality service.
"74 years later and our aim is to continue on with providing quality service and expert advice to our client base," said Mark.
As exciting as all of these announcements are, we couldn’t have done it without the amazing support of our clients. We would like to thank our valued clients for their support and loyalty during this tumultuous year.
